E-bike battery fires are rapidly increasing due to potentially unsafe batteries. With over 200 e-bike related fires in New York City alone in 2022, it’s easy to feel vulnerable.

  • Obtain & disassemble e-bike batteries
  • Test batteries for safety performance
  • Identify features that enhance safety
  • Propagate e-bike battery best practices

How Can You Participate?

1. Join the Project

Sign up as an observer, participant or sponsor to receive monthly reports, provide input in project execution, and more.

2. Contribute to the Solution

Your feedback and suggested solutions will help develop best practices to be used to educate about e-bike battery safety.

3. Implement Best Practices

A detailed report will be made available to help companies implement identified best practices in future designs.
